20-2-2025.
Is this what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu meant by EMILOKAN, when he addressed an all Yoruba gathering in Lagos before the 2023 Presidential election? He was then a mare Jagaban Borgu, chieftained by a retired Army General, who was (and still is) the emir of Borgu emirate in Kebbi state.
Having many federal owned institutions and some federal but state based ones named after him, the highly egotistical president is this time adding his name on the proposed N5,000 note. I would have said who cares, since many of us poor citizens will not see it physically, not to talk of spending same. But the fact that the corrupt leader is going to confirm Nigeria as indeed being the Banana Republic, which before now is only limited to whispers, made me to have a rethink.
According to a trending YouTube video clip, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is designing a N5,000 note which the ugly mug of the egotistical
number one citizen ‘adorning’ it. And since there has been no denial from either the presidency or the Mr. Olayemi Michael Cardoso’s CBN, it is to be taken as given therefore that the living President Tinubu has already given his go ahead to the immoral act. No living, least of all a serving, leader in the history of Nigeria, was so egotistical as to have about all major institutions in the country named after him. None, because they were not ruling a ‘Banana Republic’.
By the way, where is ALL the money realised from the countless borrowings from the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the many removals of subsidies, the even more increases in virtually every service offered in the country, the humongous amount of money made by the revenue generation agencies, the ‘stolen’ money said to be returned to the country from some Western World countries, and the money said to be severally confiscated by the anti graft agencies from criminals, criminal activities and other sources of undefined riches?
There is really not much on the ground, or in the improvement of the living condition of the majority of the citizens, to applaud the regime for this enormously humongous amount of money that is supposed to be in its purse. Unless unilaterally awarding the N15.6 trillion ($13 billion) Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway project to your personal company is called ‘the interest of the country’. The humongous contract was given to Hitech Construction Company with neither the knowledge nor approval of the National Assembly (NASS). And the company is said to be owned by the president himself, using the Paris based Mr. Gilbert Chagoury as a front.
The same Hitech bought the president’s brand new airplane, brand new yacht and brand new Cadillac Jeep without appropriation of all the money by the NASS, which only gave its applause for the undemocratic action of the ‘elected’ leader of Nigeria.
It is therefore not for nothing that the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) at the end of last year (2024) declared the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the third (3rd) most CORRUPT person in the world. And the International anti corruption body, International Crimes Organisation (ICO), rated NIGERIA as one of the most corrupt countries in the whole world -in the same previous year.
But the way things are happening now in Nigeria, the President may become the most corrupt person in the world by the end of the first quarter of this year (2025), and the most corrupt by A+ at the end of the year, as would the country too.
The three top corruption-free countries are Sweden, Norway and Switzerland. All top ten corruption-free nations are from Europe, with those countries in the BOTTOM (most corrupt) being AFRICANS.
Imagine, the 92 years old President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, who has been ruling his country for the past 40 years, still wants to contest the Presidential election and continue stealing the country blind in the name of ruling it.
African leaders are also vain, ostentatious and show-offs, who would rather bankrupt their nations to satisfy their whims and caprices everywhere they find themselves, in or outside their domains.
Because of their irredeemable corruption and vanity, they present a picture of flamboyance and wealth in the actions of their extremely poor countries which could afford to get for them an entire hotel for them and their retinue of aides in the expensive Lower Manhattan, in New York, US, during the United Nations (UN) meetings. But their ‘poor’ counterparts from highly developed countries, would settle in cheap hotels, or even in their respective consulates in New York to attend the same UN meeting.
And these ‘poor’ nations are the most developed countries in the world, but their leaders use modest accommodations whenever they are in New York for any UN meeting or in any part of the world for national assignments.
One religiously illiterate sycophant from a place called DogonBauchi, claimed to have dreamt that God was building a 70,000 story House for President Tinubu in Paradise. I just wondered why ‘GOD’ did not show her the gigantic edifices he has built for late leaders like Nigeria’s one and only Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the first and only Northern Premier, the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto. They died as paupers, leaving virtually nothing for their inheritors.
It must obviously be the Devil who appeared in her ‘dream’, PRETENDING to be GOD, showing her one of his disciples, who worshiped him with a religious fervour. The disciple must be the Nigerian leader, going by his love for the accumulation of illegally acquired wealth.I hope she received her reward from President Tinubu for this ego massaging imprimatur that she passed on him.
God does not support or condone unclean things (illegitimacy) from anyone, since He Himself is very clean. God will therefore, NOT reward the perpetrators of evil with anything, except a ROARING fire in hell. Those doing good deeds with unclean wealth should take notice, because no amount of laundering will make unclean money into clean wealth.
Sycophants are really responsible for the massive corrupt activities of most of the people in positions of authority. These unpatriotic elements are only interested in what they can profit from, than what the country will gain for majority of the population in the country. They tell what the rulers want to hear, not what should be done.
They really do not care about the face of the leader, theirs is to do that which they do very well, sycophancy.
They will continue with it till the end of the leader’s time, and continue to do the same or even more obsequious sycophancy to the next occupant of the office, and they come in many types. Some of them are religiously learned people, like Imams and Pastors, as well as politicians, praise singers and, even, ladies of easy virtue. They only have permanent loyalty to their pockets, but not to any individual.
I watched a video clip of a sycophant who told a North West Governor that he was the best thing that has happened to his state. It was my unfortunate luck to be around when the same person told the immediate predecessor of the governor that he was “the best thing to happen to the state”.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, is this time alleged by Premium Times, to have “employed two of his female friends as consultants, when he was appointed in charge of the bank by present regime, and placed them on a monthly salary of N50 million and N35 million respectively every month.
According to the famed online publication, “The two women are “Nkiru Belonwu, founder of The Africa Soft Power Group, and Daphne Dafinome, a chartered accountant and chief operating officer of Crowe Dafinone, a Nigerian accounting firm. Nkiru’s monthly salary from CBN is 50 million naira every month, while Daphne earns 35 million every month.
“Nkiru, for instance, earns more than what the CBN Governor is paid every month. She also earns more than CBN deputy governors. Her salary also dwarfs the combined pay of 15 directors, who earn below N3 million monthly. And on her part, Ms. Dafinone earns N35 million monthly, higher than the combined salaries of 10 directors.
“The two consultants are now mockingly called “Cardoso women” across the bank. One source giggled when our reporter requested a further explanation of the term. “You should be able to decode what that means yourself,” the official said.
“The CBN has an elaborate, efficient, and well-staffed corporate communication department led by a director and tasked with ensuring effective, timely, and qualitative internal and external communication engagement and feedback. Why do you abuse your office to engage family and friends and make them millionaires this way? a staff member lamented.
““It is disturbing because even Emefiele, with all his weaknesses, did not act with this impunity. “These women are doing nothing. They are not adding any value to the bank. The governor is just enriching them because they are his friends. There are 29 experienced directors, 170 deputy directors, and over 400 PhD holders in CBN. There is no need to domicile consultants in the bank.”
To be sure, no responsible or unbiased person would support the second term of President Tinubu, unless they harbour ill will against the region. Some people do that for reasons other than what they claim are being done to them.
The North, particularly the North West, has suffered from one woe to another without let, since Tinubu became the President of Nigeria. He has been acting as if he came purposely to end the North. And this is his first term as the number one citizen of the country. His second term would give him the opportunity to finish the evil work he started against the North.
There have been up to five ‘accidental’ bombings against soft Muslim targets in the North West by the Nigerian Airforce since General Musa Alexander became the Chief of the Nigerian Defence Staff under the regime of President Tinubu. The bombing incidents have claimed hundreds of innocent lives, leading to calls for an immediate investigation into why the persistence of the attacks in the area, if they are not intentional.
There is also the repeated power failure in the North. Last year, there were at least 14 ‘collapses’ of the National Grid, and this year the country has witnessed four already. The month of February is still to end, as it is. All the ‘collapses’ of the National Grid affect the most states in the Northern region of the country.
A member of the US House of Representatives, Scott Perry, accused the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) of financing the terrorism that has been raging in foreign countries, especially Nigeria. Speaking on the several global insecurity spots in the world, he alleged that terror groups such as Boko Haram, Al qa’ida, and many more, were funded by the agency.
He stated before the Congress (US name for their bicameral legislature) that the agency (USAID) is behind the insecurity ravaging the country, particularly in the North West area of the country. It would appear that President Tinubu and the US agency are partners in the evil plot to destroy the North Western part of the country at all costs.
But by way of sometimes using Human beings to destroy what is or are clearly unacceptable, unfriendly, harmful, dangerous, destructive and hostile to His servants, God Is, this time, using President Donald Trump to destroy the two infamous US agencies of intelligence, which President Tinubu serves with total diligence, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The come-back President is said to be systematically and deliberately destroying the two institutions that have been at the forefront of the evil foreign policy of the US, since they were created some decades ago.
And the new found romance between President Tinubu and France and her current President, Emmanuel Macron, is quite suspicious, because of the European country’s known bigoted hatred for Islam and Muslims, unity of Nigeria, constant use of her military and mercenaries to fight and disorganise African governments, as well as her heavy handedness in its history of association with Africa, particularly her former colonies, most of whom have ignominiously SACKED her, warts and all, from their countries.
But Islam, Muslims or Africa have never been against the French President, who is married to Bridget (now Macron), his drama teacher when he was a teenager at La Providence High School. There is a difference of 24 years in age between the two of them. The prophet and last (Seal of Messengers) Messenger of Allah, Muhammadu (SAW), married a woman who was 15 years his senior, when he was a bachelor. He was 25 years old, and she was 40 years old, but their marriage was full of love and support for one another, in addition to the the fact that she was the first woman to accept Islam.
She greatly supported him when he decided to send many of his followers to a JUST Christian ruler in a far away Abyssinia (present day Ethiopia), when idols worshippers from his own town of birth (Mecca) kept harassing and threatening their lives. And the just ruler, who was highly educated in the scriptures, protected the escapees from the Meccan idolators, who followed them to the country of their refuge, Abyssinia.
The marriage of Prophet Muhammadu to Khadija is to show to the world that Islam encourages marriage between chaste, clean-hearted generous divorcees, and younger male persons of good character, even if they are not as abundantly blessed with resources.
There is presently an avalanche of complaints about the harsh and hard times in Nigeria at the moment. These are things that cannot be controlled by fiat. Such spontaneous unfortunate situations as poverty and hunger, affect all regions without bias to religion, region, nation and political affiliation.
This fact makes me believe that President Tinubu is literally sick in his head. For a leader to have nothing to do but visit hardship almost on daily basis to his citizens, but continue with the massive acquisition of humongous illegal wealth, means that person must surely be a raving LUNATIC. President Tinubu appears to drive immense pleasure in incrementally increasing hardship on the people he leads.
Despite the removal of subsidy on electricity, the regular upward review of tariff on the elusive service, electricity has continued to elude customers most of the time, leaving them with constantly in darkness, instead of the brightness that is supposed to come. Even people in the so called ‘Band A’ areas, are not spared of the darkness despite the extra money they pay.
President Tinubu is no doubt ruining Nigeria, not ruling the country, from all indices of global good governance. Hard time and massive corruption are the things that define his regime.
May God rid Nigeria of any leader who does not have His fear at heart. May he also free His sincere servants from the dirty clutches of the devil, and the sycophants who surround and mislead the rulers into doing all manner of things that are clearly wrong.
